Guide
How LinkedIn builds a link preview
Tags LinkedIn reads
og:title, og:image, og:description. It does not use twitter: tags.
Image size
1200×627 (1.91:1) recommended. Smaller images show as a thumbnail.
Cache
LinkedIn caches a link for about 7 days. LinkedIn Post Inspector can refresh it.
Why is there no image on LinkedIn?
Usually no og:image, an image that is too small, or a server that blocks LinkedIn’s crawler. The check above tells you which.
How do I refresh an old preview?
Open the URL in LinkedIn Post Inspector, or change the image URL.
Does LinkedIn use the description?
In most post layouts, no — only the image, title and domain.
Every page, ready for LinkedIn
