What they have in common

Six things good OG images do

Make yours in the OG image generator and check the size in the OG image size guide.

  • One idea, bigThe best cards say one thing in 3–8 words, set large enough to read at feed size — about a quarter of the width they get in a timeline.
  • The brand in a cornerLogo or wordmark small and in the same place on every card, so a link is recognizable before anyone reads it.
  • Bold, simple backgroundsA flat color, a gradient or one product shot. Busy photos fight the text and turn to noise when the card shrinks.
  • Safe marginsApps crop the edges (X shows 2:1, some chats a square). Text stays well inside the middle of the 1200×630 frame.
  • A different card per pageBlogs and docs that show each page's own title get more clicks than one generic image repeated on every link.
  • Readable in dark modeCards sit on white and black feeds alike; a defined background edge keeps them from melting into either.

Still unsure? Write to contact@getwowlink.com

What is an Open Graph image?

The picture an app shows when someone shares a link to your page — set with the og:image meta tag. Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Slack and messengers all read it.

What size are these images?

Most are 1200 × 630 px (1.91 : 1), the size that displays well everywhere. A few use 2:1 for X's large card.

Can I use these images?

No — each belongs to its site. They're here as examples of what works; make your own in the OG image generator.

How were they collected?

We ran our OG checker on public pages and kept the ones whose og:image loads and has a link-preview shape. Each card links to the site and to its full check.
